Conduct Cases Up 90% Thanks to NSFP’s Forensic Student Profiles Pilot
In an effort to better understand CU Boulder’s incoming first-year and transfer students, New Student & Family Programs added a questionnaire to this year’s Online Experience that asks students about their interests and hobbies, that explores what makes each student tick, and that probes into the darkest recesses of each student’s soul. The questionnaires are painstakingly reviewed by Dr. Hans Foote, Interim Assistant Dean of Students, who then brings elevated cases to the Students of Concern Team for review.
“The Forensic Student Profiles pilot has gone a long way toward making this campus a safer place,” explained Dr. Foote. “We’ve already adjudicated over 200 cases based on conduct violations that the students are likely to commit, and the fall is still over two months away! I’m proud to be part of a university that takes such a proactive and strong stance on student conduct.”
